With less than 24 hours until the starting battle! In partnership with Phuket Provincial, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Thai Airways International, and many more, the legendary race is set for tomorrow, Sunday, November 23 2025. Over 1,000 international athletes and 3,000 spectators from around the world will gather at Laguna Grove for what promises to be one of the most competitive fields in the event’s history.
As Southeast Asia’s longest-running and most popular triathlon, the 31st edition underscores Phuket’s success as a world-class sports event hub. Its reputation also provides athletes with an opportunity to experience the thrill of this historic race, renowned for its unique course, Phuket’s natural beauty, modern and comprehensive facilities, and Laguna Phuket’s famous high standards of event management and safety.
The highlight of this year’s race is the fierce professional field. In the Pro Males category, returning contenders included Antony Costes (France), Joel Wooldridge (Australia), Olympian Rostyslav Pevtsov (Ukraine), and Guy Crawford (New Zealand).
The Pro Females race will be equally intense, featuring Laguna Phuket Triathlon veterans Kate Bevilaqua (Australia), Kseniia Levkovska (Ukraine), and Imogen Simmonds (Switzerland), who face a new challenge from Dominika Jamnicky (Canada). They will all be competing for a share of the USD $20,000 prize purse, alongside top Thai elite athlete Jaray Jearanai, who returns to his home-turf race.
Mr. Nirat Pongsitthaworn, Governor of Phuket Province, stated at the press conference, “On behalf of Phuket Province, I am extremely proud and honored to welcome over 1,000 athletes and their supporters from around the world to the 31st Laguna Phuket Triathlon. The main event continues its classic “Race the Legend” course, featuring a unique 1.8km swim in both the Andaman Sea and a freshwater lagoon, a challenging 50km bike route through Phuket’s scenic hills and coastal roads, and a 12km run around the beautiful Laguna Phuket complex. The event also features a Sprint Triathlon (0.5km swim, 20km bike, 6km run) and a Duathlon (4km run, 50km bike, 12km run), ensuring athletes of all levels can be part of the legend.
